Silicon Metal Description
Silicon Metal is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry and electronics industries. When silicon is added to certain non-ferrous metals, the strength, hardness and wear resistance of the base metal can be improved, and sometimes the casting properties and welding properties of the matrix can be enhanced. Main Applications: 1. Application in aluminum: An additive to aluminum alloys, silicon metal is used to increase the fluidity and tenacity of Aluminum and its alloys. 2. Application in organic chemicals: Silicon metal is used to manufacture sorts of silicones, resins, and lubricants. 3. Application in electronic parts: Silicon metal is used to produce monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon of high purity for electronic parts, such as semi conductors, etc.
